Steven Gerrard pays tribute to fellow Liverpool legend Ian St John, who has passed away at the age of 82.

St John’s passing was announced this morning (March 2). The former Scotland international scored 118 goals in 425 appearances for Liverpool – including the goal that secured the club’s first-ever FA Cup final success.

During his 10-year spell under Bill Shankly, the Reds were transformed from second division strugglers to one of the top teams in the country.

Gerrard, arguably the greatest player in Liverpool’s history, and now Rangers manager, was asked for his reaction at his press conference today.
